We are totally rewriting OptiSurface Designer and we're thinking the best way to implement this would be to left click on a section line and the properties would be displayed on a panel on the right hand side of the screen where you can edit them if required.

Let us know your thoughts on this idea.

If you double left click on the subzone line, it will show the zone properties and then you can click cancel on dialog box. It's quite fast and easy. Are you aware of this? Is this sufficient?

Thanks for the feedback! We will look into adding this feature in future releases.

We are working on a new version of OptiSurface that will run completely on the cloud and you'll be able to share your designs to your client with a link and they can view all the details of the design. We are interested in your thoughts on this idea and should all layers be available to them?

Hi Arnie, thanks for the suggestion. What layers do you want to add or miss?

In our new web based version, we will take advantage of multiple cores for the analysis tools. However, the landform design calculations are a lot more complex and difficult to spread to multicores although we are attempting to do this.

Thanks for the feedback. We will look into ways to improve this.

This is probably due to multicore processor in your computer and we would love to take advantage of all the cores but at the moment we are stuck with using only one core.

A 400-ha field is quite large for OSD to handle smoothly. You may want to consider cutting the field into sections to make it easier.

These articles in our knowledge base can help you:

    https://optisurface.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/232732-designing-a-field-in-sections

We also recommend you do initial calculations at larger grid size eg 60 or 90ft and then when you have a design that looks close, do a final calculation at 30ft if possible.
