Are RTK Correction Networks Accurate Enough for GPS Landforming?

RTK correction networks (typically delivered via cellular, satellite or even radio) are not recommended because the base station is generally too far away. For landforming, we need the highest accuracy possible otherwise you'll be shifting more soil than you need and not finishing the topography to the design surface which may result in drainage problems remaining.

We recommend a base station within 1 mile or 1.6km, ideally at the edge of the field.
