Overview: View Menu shows functions to adjust the view in the Map Window of OptiSurface Designer.
Displayed By: Click 'View' on the Menu.
Appearance:

Options:
| Zoom In |
Zoom in by a factor of 2. Tip: Try using the mouse scroll wheel to zoom too. |
| Zoom Out |
Zoom out by a factor of 2. Tip: Try using the mouse scroll wheel to zoom too. |
| Zoom Window |
Left click then drag a window to zoom in an area. |
| Zoom Extents |
Zoom to full extents of data. |
| Pan | Left click and drag to pan the scene. In this mode, you can also hold <Shift> key down to rotate the scene and hold <Ctrl> key down to orbit the scene. |
| Rotate | Left click and drag to rotate the scene about the z-axis. |
| Orbit | Left click and drag to orbit the scene revolving around a single point in the center of the map. |
| Continuous Orbit | Left click and drag to orbit the scene revolving around a single point in the center of the map continuously until you click again. |
| Plan View |
View the terrain from the top looking down. |
| Side View | View the terrain from the front looking horizontally. |
| Recall Last Surface |
Quickly view the last Map layer viewed. |
| Isometric View | View the terrain in 3D perspective. |
| Toolbar | Display or hide different toolbars such as Standard, View, Mark-up Text, Tools, StepByStep. |
| Project Explorer Results |
Display or hide the Results of the Landform Design or Analysis. |
| Status Bar |
Display or hide the Status Bar. This shows the coordinates of the point where the mouse pointer lies on the Map Window. Note: To see the coordinates, Pan Mode should be turned ON. |
| Tile | Arranges the active projects into tile formation. (Not relevant as new osd files are opened in a new window of the program.) |
| Active Projects |
Displays the active projects in OptiSurface Designer. (Not relevant as new osd files are opened in a new window of the program.) |
