Post Landforming Assessment

Question:
Any suggestions on how best to compare the field before and after landforming? The purpose is to make sure we indeed have successfully executed the earthmoving work and the field is ready for the next step.

Answer:
We recommend running one or two finishing passes on the field while the design is loaded and control in 'Auto'. On the last pass, the scraper should always have soil in the bucket and over the cutting edge so you know that all low spots have been filled and also high spots will be trimmed. These passes should be parallel and in the direction of planting or furrows.

You can also survey the field after the landforming operations and send back to us so we can compare in OptiSurface Designer but that is a lot of extra work. Make sure to use the same master benchmark on the machine control file.
